Thor 2 is arguably the worst installation in the MCU. Even Chris Hemsworth couldn’t help but agree with the popular opinion about this movie which says that the movie wasn’t any good. But apparently, this movie set up a little villain that we saw in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. You remember Taserface, right? Yes, that guy was first seen in Thor 2 and the horrible disfigurement of his face took place in Thor 2 as well.

There was this scene in Thor 2 where Kurse was seen taken into Asgard’s prison cell. He was under disguise at that time. And to escape and start a row, he used a guy’s face to smash it into the laser wall that was guarding the prison cell. This guy was none other than our buddy, Taserface. So, apparently he didn’t die from getting his face tasered and then made his way into a ravage ship. And this would mean his name too is actually literal and not metaphorical, as pointed by this theory. As we saw in GOTG Vol. 2, his plan to take down Yondu and instate himself as the ship’s captain failed. And unfortunately, he died.
Now to confirm this, we would need to tweet James Gunn, but after the unfortunate event that led to his firing, he has not been active on social media. James Gunn is now hired by Warner Bros, who want him to direct and write Suicide Squad 2 giving him liberty as to how the characters in the movie will be portrayed. So, this movie will more likely be a sort of an unofficial reboot.
I sure am excited to see how Gunn fares with this movie and if he can instill the magic in this movie he did in Guardians of the Galaxy movies. As for GOTG Vol. 3, it now seems confirmed that Gunn’s script will be used by Disney to make this movie.
