Infinity War was to show Thanos going on his quest to claim and amass all the Infinity Gauntlet into his custom made Infinity Gauntlet and use them to cleanse the universe by calling to cease half of all life in the known universe. We saw Thanos collecting each and every Stone, with the exception of the Power Stone.
Now, the reason for this as mentioned by the Directors and the Screenwriters is that they just didn’t have enough screen time to put in this scene too and also that the scenes showing Thanos collecting all of these Stones would seem too repetitive. So they just decided to skip to tell how Thanos got the Power Stone.
But this fan theory argues that there is another meaning to this exclusion of that scene. The scene will play a big role in the upcoming Avengers Endgame. Where from this theorist got this idea? It’s from the ‘Avengers Endgame’ title design and color, which happens to be Purple and another thing that is purple is the Power Stone.
This theory also believes the common notion that the card the Avengers will pull in Endgame is to go back in time. The only thing different is that, as per this theory, the Avengers will travel back to the time when Thanos gets his hands on the first Infinity Stone – Power Stone at Xandar. The Avengers will manage to get the Power Stone and use its infinite power to bring Thanos to his knees and finally defeating him.
This is why the scene featuring how Thanos got the Power Stone was not included in Infinity War. It will be revealed in Avengers Endgame.
The full theory is shown below. Go through it.
