Infinity War was supposed to be the biggest challenge yet in the lives of the Avengers and it sure was. The stakes were too high. When Doctor Strange uttered that there was a just one future possibility in a huge 14 million plus possibilities where the Mad Titan was defeated, we all knew how narrow our chances of winning were. But we were also hopeful because we knew that this one timeline is what we were gonna be shown.

But what if I tell you that Doctor Strange was wrong. What if I tell you that there were more future scenarios where the Avengers won? How? Well, the answer is simple. (This interesting thought was provided by the people over at Comicbook.com)
In Doctor Strange, the Ancient One told us that she couldn’t see beyond her death in every future she traversed through. Well, the same logic applies to Strange. He couldn’t have seen any future scenario beyond his own death. The scenarios where he died, he just took to label them as “not winning against Thanos”. It is completely possible that in such scenarios, after Strange’s death, the Avengers might have won but Doctor Strange couldn’t know this.
This theory is only valid given the fact that the screenwriters and directors were aware of that dialogue of The Ancient One. And this would also mean that Strange and others who perished with the Snap aren’t really dead.
The Ancient One is also gonna have a cameo in Avengers: Endgame. This would probably be during one of the time travel sequences in the movie. One fan theory suggested that the Avengers will have a fight with the Ancient One. Here’s the link to that theory.
