Infinity War’s climax showed us the latest addition of the MCU turning to dust, thanks to The Decimation. And ever since the movie Thanos’ need to save the universe by obliterating half of the universe has been questioned by fans. With the immense and God-like powers the Infinity Gauntlet grants him, he should have been able to easily magnify the resources for the existing population. But a new theory by the Reddit user ‘joethehamface’ proposes that nobody actually died in the Snappening.
This theory proposes that the Snap only split the reality into two different dimensions. Half of the existing reality ( the people who apparently died in Infinity War) were actually transferred off to another reality dimension. This theory further predicts that both these realities are now joined by Quantum Realm, which acts as a bridge. And since Scott Lang happened to be inside the Quantum Realm, he was not affected by Thanos’ Snap and is now free to roam about in either of the two realities as per his will. This theory also provides evidence why the Snap didn’t have an effect on Scott.

The theory then concludes by stating that in Avengers Endgame, the two realities will collide and one will have to be destroyed in order for the other to live. A similar thing happened in a Marvel mobile game. This theory is mostly prediction not based on intense observation but there’s a slight chance this could happen. The movie will set the stakes even higher than it did in Infinity War. Let’s wait to see how the Russos plan to deliver their best work.
