Captain America: Civil War showed us for the first time a conflict between two Avengers. Both the teams were right considering their point of view. Stark had done enough damage and in his mind he was the one who was responsible for that. Captain America couldn’t trust the government enough to surrender and come under their command. We all expected that this conflict would settle at the end of the movie but it got even worse when personal issues were brought into the limelight. Captain admits his mistake in a letter to Tony and also informs him that he will be ready to help whenever Stark calls.
The flip phone that Tony received also had a cameo in Infinity War when Tony nearly was on the brink of calling Captain. Had he not been distracted by the subtle tremors, he would have pressed the dial button. But the Directors didn’t want the reunion to happen in this movie. Recently has been revealed that another scene was nearly filmed that showed Tony with the phone in his house’s lawn. This information was revealed by Peter Sciretta on Twitter. The tweet is attached below. Have a go.
They tried to plus the scene with Pepper and Tony, they shot a new scene in additional photography at the Starkhome with Tony sitting in a lawn chair fidgeting with Steve’s flip phone and Pepper comes home but it didn’t work out so they didn’t include it.— Peter Sciretta (@slashfilm) November 29, 2018

Tony instead took Doctor Strange and Spiderman to stop Thanos before he even could come to Earth to collect the Stones. This resulted in a bad future for everybody. The Avengers couldn’t fight the Mad Titan together and that way they would have been able to stop him. But then the way the movie unveiled itself was done in the most interesting way. This movie shows us that we do not always get a win at the end. The Cliffhanger ending also enables the fans to anticipate Avengers 4.
