MCU’s Thanos is different in terms of ideology than its comic’s counterpart. The MCU Thanos doesn’t take any joy in bringing the universe to balance, considering he will have to dust half of the living beings. He didn’t even need time to think if he was ready to give up his daughter, whom he loves most dearly in the whole world, for the sake of fulfillment of his quest. But then he is a man with a strong willpower.
AS we saw in the movie, he didn’t see anyone as a big threat, that’s why he didn’t try to kill the heroes. He only wanted to get all the Stones and then snap his fingers. And now that he has done it, he just wants to live a low-key life. A new theory, by the Reddit user ‘WamsyTheOneAndOnly’ has emerged which states that Thanos sought to give the victims of his Snap to deliver a last word/sentence to their closed ones. This theory claims that the reason why Spiderman’s death took so long is that Thanos allowed him to say what he wanted to Tony. “However, Sam, Wanda, Mantis, and all of the Wakandan victims all died instantly because they have nothing left to say or they were alone. Thanos allowed the snapped one final message before their death.”
The Directors have claimed that the reason Spiderman’s death took that long is that they wanted to add an emotional depth to the scene. And the reason Black Panther’s death was not given much screen time is that they didn’t know that the Black Panther would become such a blockbuster movie. ( Infinity War was shot before the release of Black Panther)
