After his fallout with his own country, Captain America was a fugitive. He, with his team, stayed underground for all the while after Civil War. They even changed their appearance to help them stay safe. In Infinity War, Cap arrived pretty late. But that moment was just perfect. Him coming out from the shadows and the background score was just perfect. I had goosebumps when I saw him. In the earlier draft scripts of Infinity War, he was not supposed to make his entry until the very end. He was supposed to arrive in Wakanda and then take on Thanos. But the final script changed this idea.
And now new information has been revealed regarding his entry scene in the movie. In The Avengers: Infinity War – The Art of the Movie book, Byran Andrews talks about an alternate take on Cap’s entrance scene. He claimed, “There were a few versions of the Edinburgh sequence. At first, the Russos had it set during the winter festival. Large crowds, snow, and Cap and the gang were already on-site trying to find Vision and Wanda in a crowd of Santas when the Children of Thanos arrive. Lots of fun stuff, but it was too much. Sometimes less is definitely more.”
This scene would have been a lot different if they had gone this way. It would have taken the intensity of the scene away. Not the Santas, no, but the fact that Cap was already searching for Vision and Wanda. The entrance he made in Infinity War was great. And the movie did not saw Steve and Tony having their reunion. This is probably going to happen in the upcoming Avengers 4. Let’s see how the heroes enact this reunion scene. They all need to join forces in order to take down Thanos in Avengers 4.
