The main antagonist of the MCU has been teased so many times. From appearing in cameo roles in The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy and Age of Ultron, he finally lifted himself from his seat and took the matter into his own hands (literally). “Fine, I’ll do it myself.” He trusted Loki to conquer Earth for him, asked Ronan to get him the Power Stone but they all failed him. And now, he has come to do what he thinks is absolutely necessary. He has seen how planets wither away just because the demand for resources outnumbered the number of resources.
He suggested genocide to his own home planet in the hope of securing a better sustainable future. But, he was termed a madman by his own people. And the apocalypse came and his planet is now ruined. But the Mad Titan survived this apocalypse. In ‘Avengers: Infinity War – The Art of the Movie’ book, the way Thanos survived is answered. Eleni Roussos explains that after his random genocide, he was banished from his planet. So, that means, when the planet died, Thanos was not present.
And now with the power of the six Infinity Stones, he was able to secure a future for every planet in the whole of the universe. His intentions of saving the world lie on very strong foundations. He even sacrificed his daughter Gamora, whom he loves with all his heart, in this quest of bringing balance to the universe. But this action of his is gonna return heavy on him when our mighty heroes join forces in order to bring back the perished ones and exact vengeance on Thanos. Avengers 4 will greet us in the theatres on May 3, 2019. The first trailer should arrive in two weeks or so.
