Mark Ruffalo can easily be described as our inside guy. He is the one we can trust to give us a little peek about the inside. He is the ‘Spoiler Man’. You would remember that last year, in an interview, he nearly gave the ending of Infinity War. He nearly spat that ‘half’ of the world is gonna perish. We should be glad that this half-spoiler of his was realized well after the release of Infinity War. Marvel should keep him in chains this time. And I am glad to report that he was pretty behaved in the latest interview. He didn’t spill out any spoiler. And isn’t that good?
He also expressed interest in seeing where this conflict leads. He added, “I want to see this conflict carries out and see where that takes us and see, can they come to terms with it? Do they get a moment? I always thought it would be great to see them in some sort of subspace where they get to battle it out with Banner’s brains as some sort of his own superpower, like psych weaponry against Hulk’s brute strength and have these two characters battle it out. I always thought that would be the ultimate comic book ending or something, opening to these characters.”
In the podcast he did with The Marvelists, he talked about the ‘Performance issue’ Bruce is burdened with in Infinity War. He said, “There’s a conflict brewing between banner and hulk that’s been going on since the beginning and it all came out of this question that Joss Whedon asked me when Hulk gets the fairy dust from Scarlet Witch sprinkled on him in Avengers 2. Joss asked ‘What is Hulk afraid of?’ And that was a hard thing or me to answer, because what is the strongest, fiercest thing in the universe afraid of? What could he possibly? And then I realized its Banner. The only thing Hulk is afraid of is Banner. We played with a lot in Ragnarok and it continues to be teased out in Infinity War 1 and Infinity War 2.”
We certainly need more of Hulk in Avengers 4. He really needs to pull off something extraordinary to reclaim the image he had. Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019. To stay updated with the articles, click the Subscribe button or Like my Facebook page.
